When: May 12th
Location: The Art and Sole Academy (20 Leslie Street Studio # 221)
Learn how to create one of the top shoe trends this summer season!
Students will have the opportunity to design their own pair of "Open Toe" clogs from start to finish! The first part of the workshop will be dedicated towards designing and assembling your sandal strap patterns and dying the leather to the color of your choice.
Once the uppers are assembled students will then learn how to attach their upper to the wooden outsole mold with using staples or studs.
Students will have the option to stitch their straps together on the sewing machine or assemble the entire design with the use of hardware which allows all skill levels to come out and create their own custom pair!
What is included:
- Vegetable tanned leather for upper straps
- Leather dye and inks
- Wooden outsole mold in your select size (We will have two outsole molds for students to select from. Our high heel height is 3 1/4", with a 1" platform in the front. Our mid heel height is 2 1/4", also with a 1" platform)
*** Outsole sizes available are WMNS sizes 5-11. To confirm we have an outsole in your size please send us your shoe size and foot length measurement
Please note: All materials are included within your workshop fee although should you wish to incorporate a specific upper material for your strap design please bring them with you to the beginning of the first class
